Issued to publicise NZ2020 and commemorate the First Voyage of James Cook. First day of issue 23 July 2019 was approximately 250 years after Cook, during his mapping of the ‘Society Islands’, was thinking of the next stage of his journey leading to his discovery of New Zealand.
